WSJ: Microsoft May Acquire Mojang

Thursday, September 11, 2014:  Microsoft Corp has reportedly entered into series of discussions to acquire Swedish based company Mojang AB which is known for its popular 'Minecraft' video game, The Wall Street Journal said, citing a person with knowledge of the matter.

They further reported that the deal might get s
ettled for more than $2 billion and could be finalised as early as this week. 'Minecraft' is a game where players tend to protect themselves from nocturnal monsters by building different structures with blocks. This acquisition will be very fruitful for Microsoft's Xbox video game business specially during the time when the competition in the market is completely heated up.

Microsoft declined to make any comment upon the same for the time being. Reports claim that in April Microsoft exported 5 million Xbox One units to retailers worldwide after the launch.
